We learn by experience

We learn by experience. An example from the Noire River Que.

What makes experiential learning more meaningful for you?

  1. Jim, the experience you describe has provoked some questions for me, here is one.

    You stood on the side of the river and watched others before attempting the task yourself. Often in life, we are "standing on the river bank" watching others but have no idea what they are doing or trying to achieve. It was clear for you that the folk in the canoe were riding down the rapids and so when you attempted the task you were clear what success looked like. In life, we don't always have that clarity. I'd love to know that when I'm in the canoe that I'm trying to do the right or correct thing - particularly if I'm fast approaching a set of rapids!

  3. Hi Jim;

    Love your 1 Minute Learner multimedia blog. Another great example of using internet technology as a learning tool. Look forward to many more posts.

    Cheers,

  4. Jim, great to see how you did on the rapids, I can hardly wait to see how you do with parachuting :)

    You know who.
