Great sandcastle! Wonderful message. It also ties in so very well with the study we did on parenting this past winter. Control and perfectionism are often is a parent's (and teacher's) daily vocabulary...and they shouldn't be. R.
I think that the role of the teacher in adult learning is the one of a facilitator. Adult learning should not only be learner-centred, but also context-driven, and it should focus more on process than on the content. Easier said than done because the our education system does not work like that (i.e. I was never asked what or how I wanted to learn at school). Did the girl in the picture have any input in the design of the castle? Did she want to build a castle in the first place?

Hi Jim,
ReplyDeleteI love what you said:
"Simple is good, less is more"
"Ask more questions than giving answers"
This not only applies to teaching and learning, but also to sales as we have discussed.
